“But he said to me, ” My grace us sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake , I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” 2 Corinthians 12:9 & 10
Have you ever had a tootsie roll lollipop? I don’t know about you, but once I get to the center, having that delicious candy makes me giggle with delight. I like candy, rather sweets, and as a follower of Jesus I am convinced getting to the my chewy center is what God is trying to do when my weaknesses are exposed.
I hate feeling weak, pathetic or incapable, but this scripture reminds us that God’s grace is sufficient–all day, everyday. We just need to tap into it and embrace what it is we loathe, for its the only way to get to the core , the heartbeat and the goodness lodged inside of us.I have to admit the process is uncomfortable, but Holy Spirit told me,
“It is here in your weakness, with me, that you will do your greatest work for God.”
Why you ask? Because in my weakness it is that God is strong. God will continue the work when you feel like you can’t go on. It is God who will step forth on your behalf , through Holy Spirit, to guide you, speak for you and lead you when you feel weak. Rest my friends, for God is carrying you through the tough days. Won’t you let Him?
