“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a new way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.” Isaiah 43:18 & 19
Starting fresh always sounds so good, but many are not willing to go through what it takes to make a new start. It is hard to leave what has happened in the past. When God came upon the earth in the book of Genesis it said that the earth was formless and dark. There are many people in this world, though busy, if God were to come up and view their lives he would see that a lot of us are formless, empty, and with lack of purpose. I was that person when I asked God to come into my life and as this scripture reminds us if you can be honest with yourself and admit you need help then watch and give God permission to do a new thing in my life!
God wants you to know to just believe and ask. I bet you he is doing something amazing in your life right now, but since you must let go of the past you will find that new beginnings often start off painful since we must let go first. Don’t be fooled–keep going for joy is just around the corner. Trust me. Let God surprise you, dazzle you and when your back is turned he will add candles to your special cake and yell surprise, for now it springs up…do you not perceive it?
