Dovetales, under PJC Media Worldwide, is a safe place for those that have walked the road and have learned to hold Holy Spirit’s hand to achieve the unfathomable, the impossible and the unthinkable. Jesus said we are to do greater things than He so, let’s start with being a witness. Dovetales is a radio show to encourage, empower and uplift listeners that don’t think they can be an overcomer in life. It doesn’t matter where you were born, your age , what nationality or environment, for God will meet you where you’re at, but he promises to never leave you where you stand. The heart of Dovetales rests on this scripture:

” At that time Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan. As Jesus was coming up out of the water, he saw heaven being torn open and the Spirit descending on him like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: ” You are my Son, whom I love: with you I am well pleased.” Mark 1: 9-11 ( NIV)

In this text we see Jesus is fulfilling the words of the prophets and so he proceeds to become baptized by the hands of John the Baptist. How beautiful to imagine, in this moment of biblical history, the heavens being torn open and the Holy Spirit descending on Jesus, the Son of God, like a dove. We know after this moment in history Jesus went on to do amazing things in the three years remaining in his life. Jesus healed the sick, gave sight to the blind, ate with tax collectors and was found forgiving the sins of prostitutes. It is clear that Christ came to serve and not to be served, but it was also clear that his presence on earth was very controversial and confusing, so allow me to shed some light on this for you.

Jesus came to build relationships, for it was not the healthy who needed a doctor, but the sick, the lost, the weary, the blind, the fallen, the confused, the lonely, the bruised and the burdened. It is because of these acts of kindness that I believe the greatest miracle Jesus Christ ever did was change the heart of man. Change how man thinks, who he should love and how many times he needs to forgive.

So, I couldn’t help but wonder, along with my family, if the Holy Spirit rested on Jesus Christ like a dove and he accomplished all these things then as a follower of Christ what could I also achieve when the Holy Spirit rests on me like a dove. What have I gone through and what am I experiencing right now that I can pass onto others to help them when in need? What is Holy Spirit breaking, molding, correcting and pruning inside me that I can impart to others to free them from their illness, their ignorance, and their unwillingness to see the truth– as God see’s it? What tales will I tell and what testimony can I give to lighten others burden?
