The world is full of such distractions and so many beautiful things  with the capability of pulling our attention that it can be hard to focus, for who wants to focus when the sun is shining and things are finally going our way? Sometimes we just want a breather in the midst of the mess.

The mess in life has a way of sneaking up on us unfortunately, just when we are basking in the sunshine. That is why it’s so important to always be ready and prayed up, because the enemy wants to steal your joy, but if you always have Jesus as your screen saver or as your back drop, then there is no need to worry. For scripture says,

“Let us fix our eyes on Jesus , the author and finisher of our faith who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God” Hebrew 12 : 2

My friend, what are your eyes fixed on? What is your heart posture fixed on?  What do you believe and build your foundation on when there isn’t anyone around? As disciples of Jesus we too will go through so much, but Jesus says through it all I want you to LOOK AT ME! Fix your eyes on ME and don’t lose sight of what I can do for you!

Perhaps you are one who is fighting the good fight and what you need to do, like Jesus, is sit down and accept that the work is done and provision has been made for you. Are you at the stage in your Christian walk where you can just relax and sit down while you wait?
