I hope you are enjoying this year’s line-up of guest’s on Dovetales Radio. I have enjoyed every moment, but we’re not done yet. So, join me this Sunday, October 14, 2018 as I unpack the testimony of a woman who desires to help young women to become overcomer’s through being transparent. My special guest, author Saviela Edwards Thorne has a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, a Master’s Degree in Information Technology Management from Webster University, and has penned her first book titled, “Seasons of a Woman’s Life: Devotionals to Empower Women to Become Overcomers.” Folks, apart of overcoming is when we take what was done in the dark and in a safe atmosphere we choose to bring it to the light when building and cultivating our personal relationship with God. Like the best friend you might have today, the relationship with Christ is built on love and trust as well as honesty with ourselves and also with Him. One will discover a love so pure that it possesses the power for all to be Born Again. You never have to remain disheartened, discourage or defeated. And, with my guest Saviela Edwards Thorne we will learn together, how. The fun begins at 2:30 pm eastern time.
Enjoy a little bit more about Saviela Edwards Thorne:
Saviela Edwards Thorne is the fourth of five children born to Christopher and Julia Edwards. She was born on December 17, 1983 in Charleston, SC. She is a faithful member of Bethesda Church in Summerville, SC. She graduated from Fort Dorchester High School on June 1, 2002. She then decided to continue her education close to home at the historical, College of Charleston; where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Communications. Because of her love for technology, she decided to get her Master’s Degree in Information Technology Management from Webster University. She graduated in December of 2009. A few months later, Saviela moved to Columbia, SC to accept a job offer at the Department of Veteran’s Affairs where she worked as a Certified Veteran Service Representative for six and a half years. She is forever grateful for the move to Columbia because she rekindled her friendship and fell in love with her husband, Larry Thorne Jr. They were married on December 10, 2011 in Summerville, SC.
While growing up Saviela had some challenges along the way and she decided to use her life experiences to help young women all over the world. On June 10, 2017, Saviela published her first book entitled, “Seasons of a Woman’s Life: Devotionals to Empower Women to Become Overcomers” with a foreword by Joann Rosario Condrey. Saviela strongly believes a person’s transparency is the key to deliverance for others. As she continues to share her life story, she prays it not only changes but motivates and encourages young women everywhere to dedicate their hearts and lives to Christ.
