A Message from Tyra Lane-Kingsland:

When the Spirit descended on me, He spoke these words…

“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me,

Because the Lord has anointed Me

To preach good tidings to the poor;

He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,

To proclaim liberty to the captives,

And the opening of the prison to those who are bound;

To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord,

And the day of vengeance of our God;

To comfort all who mourn,

To console those who mourn in Zion,

To give them beauty for ashes,

The oil of joy for mourning,

The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;

That they may be called trees of righteousness,

The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.” Isaiah 61:1-3

These verses guide my life. And each and every day, He is fulfilling these promises toward me. But He has also given me the charge to do these things. He’s called me to be His voice in the earth, to minister words of grace that bless and heal His people. With the Holy Spirit resting on me, He has divinely taught me how to be a mother. For a great deal of my childhood my mother was an addict so I did not have a healthy example of motherhood. Becoming a parent greatly influenced my decision to give my life to Christ. I knew that I did not want to repeat the cycle of trauma that I experienced but I also knew that I would not be able to turn that around through my own strength and might.

The journey of being a committed disciple is not an easy one. Being a wife, mother of 6, business owner, and ministry leader is demanding. It is only by fiercely clinging to Him, meditating on His word and keeping His truth before me that I can do what I do. And all of this hinges on my obedience. Obedience is our reasonable service and is the least we can do in response to the Father’s great love and mercy extended to us. For me, this is the secret to living fully, obeying Him. When I look back over my life, I can clearly see His Word lived out in my life that indeed, He does cause ALL things to work together for the good of them that love Him and are the called according to His purposes.
