“The Lord your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing.” Zephaniah 3:17

How sweet it is to know that the Lord rejoices over us with singing. I will never forget one morning when I awoke from a sound sleep I could not get a particular melody out of my mind. All day I was humming the tune, and the more I hummed the melody the more I began to sing lyrics that I seemed to recall that went to the melody.

I had never heard this song before, and yet it was so familiar. I was so excited because I discovered that I remembered it from when I was sleeping, and one day I was told that it was Jesus singing over me as I slept. How delightful to think of it this way, and so this stuck with me ever since.

This scripture should bring great comfort to us all because we are told that the Lord delights in us, and quiets us with his magnanimous love.Personally, I never want to be without the One who is mighty to save for my name is safe in His lips.
